Average Base Cost: $22,000
Our average base cost for a Hardy Farm wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list on a Saturday evening using a food/beverage price of $100/pp. We have also factored in 30 guests staying two nights on the property, bringing your facility rental fee to $6,000. Entertainment, flowers, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Sales tax is included.

How it breaks down:
Facility Rental Fee: $11,000
If 30 guests stay three nights on the property (you can opt for the 2-night package if you think most guests would want to come in on Friday vs. Thursday) and they pay $100/pp per night, that would deduct a whopping $9,000 from your total facility rental fee. If they only stay 2 nights that would deduct $6,000, which is still a really big savings (and at $100/pp [or $200 per couple per night]) that’s still a pretty good price for your guests. Considering you can bring in your own caterer and alcohol, I would budget around $100/pp for catering and more depending on your food choices (though you could easily get this down to $80 if you’re open to family-style). For purposes of this estimate lets assume your venue fee plus tax (including the 3 nights accommodations, tent, chairs, tables, and their entire offering) is $12,000. Deduct a conservative $6,000 from that for guests that are only choosing to stay 2 nights, and your share of the venue fee would be $6,000.

How Will Grandma Get There?
Hardy Farm is approximately 1 hour, 11 minutes from the Portland Airport. Ideally Grandma would stay on the property (in either The Farmhouse or The Lodge), which can accommodate up to 32 guests total. Even though the lodging costs are built into your venue rental fee, Hardy Farm will work with you to secure payments from guests staying on site, meaning you can have them call to arrange payment so you don’t have to ask for money or have any awkward conversations. This would work the same way as a hotel (except you’re paying for those room costs up front). For guests not staying on site, the venue is only a few miles away from the town of North Conway, where there are lots of lodging options at various price points.

Party On! Events can run until midnight, though they ask that amplified music is restricted to the barn and the barn doors are closed at that time. Quieter after hours around the fire pit or in the houses can last as long as you like.
The Report:
First built around 1750, Hardy Farm features a barn with white-washed walls chandeliers, as well as modern conveniences such as air-conditioning and heating. You can choose to have your ceremony on the grounds and your reception in the barn or in a tent on the grounds depending on your guest list (see above), and can have up to 30 guests (plus you and your spouse) stay on the property in the “lodge” and the “house.”

Woman Getting Married Says:
I really love how the property is set up, and think it offers the best of both worlds in terms of intimate venue and resort-like property. I also love that they have seemingly thought of everything for you…from being able to set lodging prices with your guests to the choice between the wedding package and a la carte options based on what you need. The property is rustic yet elegant and feels like the classic Maine retreat. If you are interested in this venue, I would get in touch with them right away…they seem to book up fast!
