Our average base cost for a Barn on Walnut Hill wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list for a Saturday ceremony/reception using a food/beverage cost of $120/pp. Entertainment, flowers, furniture, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax is included.

Facility Rental Fee: The barn and farmhouse are rented from May – October, Thursday – Sunday at a price of $11,500.

What’s Included:
The rate includes three parking attendants, a property manager and wedding-style outdoor restrooms on the day of your event. Also includes accommodations for 12 guests staying at the farmhouse. The barn comes with air conditioning/heat. Rate also includes access to an outdoor granite patio for cocktails, as well as access to a private woodland sanctuary. Furniture rentals are not included but the venue can assist with recommendations.
Food/Beverage: Outside caterers are allowed. You must obtain host Liquor Liability Insurance if it is not offered through caterer.

How Will Grandma Get There? The Barn on Walnut Hill is located roughly 30 minutes from the Portland airport, around which guests have several hotel options as well including the Portland Regency and The Westin Portland. Complimentary accommodations at the Farmhouse on Walnut Hill are provided for 12 guests.

The Report:
The Barn on Walnut Hill–built in 1887–sits on four acres 20 minutes North of Portland, Maine. The post-and-beam barn was restored in 2009 and has over 1,700 sq. feet of event space. The Farmhouse, which can accommodate up to 12 guests, is 3,000 sq. feet and has three floors with five bedrooms.
Woman Getting Married Says:
This wedding venue (like it’s sister property, The Barn at Flanagan Farm) is the perfect mix of rustic and chic. I love that you and close family or friends can stay at the Farmhouse, and that it’s close to other hotels in Portland as well. A 10:30 venue cut-off time is always a bummer, but I would choose to have the wedding on the earlier side here and perhaps continue the party back at a Portland hotel if you choose to get a suite there for the night (perhaps non-partying family members can use the Farmhouse). You can also bring in your own vendors which a big plus.
